Anchored In Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of the Anchored In app and related services. By using Anchored In, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Service

Anchored In is a Christian prayer companion designed to help users pray, remember, reflect, learn Scripture, participate in Circles, track goals, and record testimonies. Teaching, declarations, commands, and A.S.K. (Ask • Seek • Knock) are curated devotional and navigation tools. A.S.K. is not a generative AI assistant.

Anchored In does not claim to speak for God, determine God's will for an individual, provide prophecy, or replace Scripture, a local church, pastoral care, medical care, mental-health care, legal advice, or emergency services.

2. Accounts and Devices

You may begin with a device-based experience and may link an email account for supported recovery and syncing. You are responsible for protecting your device, credentials, and access to your account.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create. You give Anchored In the limited permission necessary to host, store, sync, display, transmit, and process that content to provide features you choose to use, including recovery and community sharing.

4. Private and Shared Content

Personal prayers, journal entries, and goals are not automatically made public. When you intentionally share content in a Circle or another community feature, that content can be seen by people who have access to that space.

5. Scripture, Teaching, Declarations, Commands, and A.S.K.

Anchored In distinguishes among prayer, declaration, and command. Commands are intended to be presented only with a stated Scripture basis and should not be understood as permission to control other people, guarantee outcomes, or treat personal desire as divine authority.

A.S.K. routes users to curated areas of the app based on choices they make. It does not read private prayers, journals, or goals to generate spiritual conclusions.

All devotional and teaching content should be evaluated responsibly in light of Scripture and appropriate human spiritual guidance.

6. Community Conduct

You may not use Anchored In to post unlawful, abusive, threatening, exploitative, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or dangerous content; impersonate others; spam users; interfere with the service; evade safety controls; or access another person's account without authorization.

Anchored In may moderate community content and may restrict or remove access when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.

7. No Emergency Service

Anchored In is not an emergency or crisis service. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.

8. Notifications

Notifications are optional. The current app does not automatically request notification permission merely because you launch it. You can choose which supported reminders or encouragement rhythms to enable.

9. Intellectual Property

The Anchored In app, brand, design, software, curated content, and other materials supplied by Anchored In are owned by or licensed to Anchored In and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

10. Availability and Changes

Features may be changed, improved, limited, or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchored In is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

13. Privacy

Use of the service is also governed by the Anchored In Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
