Anchored In Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 9, 2026 · Last Updated: September 21, 2026

Anchored In respects the private nature of prayer and spiritual reflection. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Anchored In app and related services.

1. What Anchored In Is

Anchored In is a Christian prayer companion with Prayer, Circles, Journal, and Scripture experiences. Goals remain a distinct content type inside Prayer. Scripture includes curated Scripture, declarations, commands, and Daily Teaching. A.S.K. (Ask • Seek • Knock) is a curated guide that routes you to these experiences based on the choice you make.

2. Information You Choose to Provide

Depending on how you use the service, you may provide:

3. Storage, Sync, and Recovery

Anchored In uses on-device storage for app state, preferences, cached data, and certain relationship information. Prayer, journal, goal, account, and community data may also be stored on Anchored In servers when needed for syncing, account recovery, sharing, community features, security, and operation of the service.

If you do not link an email account, recovery options may be more limited. Linking an account is intended to help restore supported data on another device.

4. No Generative-AI Interpretation of Private Spiritual Content

The current Anchored In experience does not send your prayers or journal entries to a generative AI service to interpret what God is saying, infer spiritual meaning, generate personalized spiritual conclusions, or guess relationships between your private entries.

Relationships between prayers, journal entries, goals, and Scripture are created by actions you take in the app. Daily Teaching, declarations, commands, Scripture content, and A.S.K. guidance are curated or deterministic content. A.S.K. does not read your prayers, journal entries, or goals.

5. Community Content

Content you deliberately share in Circles or other community features is visible to people permitted to view that space. Private content is not automatically shared simply because it is connected to another item in your personal journey.

6. Technical Information

We may process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device or installation identifiers, app version, operating system, notification tokens, request logs, diagnostics, crash information, and security or abuse-prevention information.

7. Service Providers

Anchored In may use service providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, notifications, authentication-related services, and infrastructure. Providers are used to operate the service and are not granted permission to use your private spiritual content for unrelated advertising purposes.

8. Selling Personal Information

Anchored In does not sell your personal information to advertisers.

9. Your Choices

10. Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for information under our control. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information may be retained as needed to operate the service, provide recovery and community features, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.

11. Children

Anchored In is not directed to children under 13. Users who are not legally able to consent on their own should use the service only with any required parent or guardian involvement.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes may be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice.

13. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent through Anchored In support channels.
